By asking to participate in an EJN event, a member signifies his or her acceptance of the conditions below.

Travel

Members participate in events as individuals. The European Journalists Network has no responsibility as a guide or organizer.

In announcing an event, the EJN informs members of the opportunity available. Sometimes it also allocates places among would-be participants.

The EJN is not liable for any harm incurred during the event or caused by its cancellation or interruption.

Participants should carry sufficient funds, or insurance, to cover their needs, including the cost of return if the programme is not completed.

When participation requires advance booking, the EJN charges a fee from participants who cancel.

The fee is payable whatever the reason for non-participation, including force majeure circumstances entirely beyond the member's control.

The fee depends on when the cancellation is sent.

The cancellation fee does not depend on the cost of participating in an event, and is payable even when the event is free.

If there is a participation fee, the cancellation fee is added to it.
